<p>PURPOSE: A secondary battery is provided to reduce number of total components, to reduce weight, and to simplify manufacturing process by slide-coupling a short plate to an insulating member, thereby capable of improving production yield. CONSTITUTION: A secondary battery(100) comprises: an electrode assembly(110) comprising a first electrode plate(111), a second electrode plate(112), and a separator(113); a case(140) accepting the electrode assembly; and a cap assembly(150) comprising a cap plate(151), which has a short hole(121a), and sealing the case. The cap assembly comprises a reversal plate(159) installed in the short circuit hole, an insulating element(157) in which an opening part is formed on one side, installed on the cap plate; and a short plate(158) installed to cover the short circuit by slide coupling through the opening part.</p> |
