PURPOSE: An image recording apparatus for vehicles is provided to rapidly cope with accidents by securing accident images as a camera is controlled by drivers' eyes. CONSTITUTION: An image recording apparatus for vehicles comprises a camera unit(110), a wireless connection unit(190), an image storing unit(160), a sensor unit(120), an image/voice processing unit(130), an input unit, an electronic payment charge system unit(400), and a power management unit(200). The camera unit obtains images of the inside and all directions of the vehicle. The wireless connection unit transfers the images, and performs an emergency call. The image storing unit records the images in a storage media. The sensor unit senses external shocks. The image/voice processing unit controls the camera unit, and detects the movement and vehicle plates from the images. The input unit transfers user input to the image/voice processing unit.
