The installation comprises a flotation chamber (15) for separating a treated water from a mixture of gas bubbles and materials to be removed, where the: mixture of gas bubbles and the materials form sludge floating on a water surface and flow along a flow direction of sludge; and treated water flows an interior of the chamber, an inlet (ES2) through which the raw water, which comprises the materials and a pressurized water, which contains dissolved air, are introduced in the chamber, and water discharge outlets (20) for collecting treated water distributed along the flow direction of sludge. The installation comprises a flotation chamber (15) for separating a treated water from a mixture of gas bubbles and materials to be removed, where the: mixture of gas bubbles and the materials form sludge floating on a water surface and flow along a flow direction of the sludge; and treated water flows an interior of the chamber, an inlet (ES2) through which the raw water, which comprises the materials and a pressurized water, which contains dissolved air, are introduced in the chamber, water discharge outlets (20) for collecting the treated water distributed along the flow direction of the sludge, where the treated water flows through the water discharge outlets and is discharged to an outside of the flotation chamber, an outlet (17) for removing the sludge, a unit (192, 193) for adjusting the flow of treated water discharged by the water discharge outlets to adjust flow rates of the discharged water for controlling a distribution of the air bubbles and speed of water inside the flotation chamber, and tubes (19) provided in the flotation chamber. The adjusting unit comprises a valve to regulate the flow rate of the water discharge outlets, and a flow meter for measuring the flow rate of the water discharge outlets. The tubes extend perpendicular to the flow direction of the sludge. Each tube: is formed with collection orifices; is connected to the water discharge outlets; and is placed in a bottom of the flotation chamber. The openings of each tube are placed on lateral sides of the tube. An independent claim is included for a method for treatment of raw water.
