IMAGE SEGMENTATION DEVICE AND METHOD BASED ON SEQUENTIAL FRAME IMAGERY OF A STATIC SCENE

PURPOSE: An image division apparatus based on the successive frame image of a stop scene and method thereof are provided to obtain the reliability of the division by reducing the generation number of noises in an area division process. CONSTITUTION: An image extraction unit(100) extracts a plurality of continuous frame images of a stop scene. The image extraction unit calculates standard deviation and the average of each pixel. A seed point detection unit(200) extracts a seed pint from the average and the standard deviation. An image division unit(300) creates the divided images by labeling areas using an area growth method based on the seed point.
