PURPOSE: A compressor is provided for users to change a discharge direction of refrigerants by changing a connecting position of a discharge member connected to a pressure relief valve. CONSTITUTION: A compressor comprises a housing, a compressing mechanism, a discharge path, a pressure relief valve(190), and a unit for controlling a discharge direction. The compressing mechanism is installed inside the housing, and sucks/compresses refrigerants. The discharge path is formed in the housing, and discharges the refrigerants compressed in the compressing mechanism. The pressure relief vale is installed on one side of the housing. The pressure relief vale comprises an outlet(195). The pressure relief vale discharges the refrigerants to the outside through the outlet if the internal pressure of the discharge path is more than predetermined pressure. The unit for controlling the discharge direction is installed in the pressure relief vale. The unit for controlling the discharge direction comprises a discharge member and a fixing unit. The discharge member comprises a path(151) connected to the outlet and an opening(153) connected to the path. The discharge member is installed on an outer end of the pressure relief vale. The fixing unit fixes the discharge member to the pressure relief vale.
