PURPOSE: A backlight unit and a display device with the same are provided to prevent light leakage, thereby increasing light incident efficiency from a light source to a light guide plate. CONSTITUTION: A light emitting surface of a light source unit is inclined against a light incident surface. An extension line of a normal line of the light emitting surface passes an opposite surface. The light source unit includes light sources. The light sources provide light to the light incident surface at an angle against the opposite surface. A display panel(400) receives light emitted from a light emitting surface. The display panel displays an image.
