PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for setting up document sharing are provided to easily and rapidly perform a CAB(Converged Address Book) service according to selection of a user by generating a regulation of transmitted information when transmitting an XML(eXtensible Markup Language) document. CONSTITUTION: Regulation information about a sharing document is selected according to a request of a user. A document sharing request message is generated for sharing a document including authority regulation information. The document sharing request message is transmitted to an originating server(402). The authority regulation information includes authority regulation about the sharing document.
