The machine has a thermo-acoustic cell (1) located in a buffer zone comprising a porous matrix (4) interposed between heat exchangers (2, 3). An energy conversion system (10) is placed adjacent to an outlet of the cell to convert acoustic energy generated at the outlet of the cell into electrical energy. An outlet (21) of another conversion system (20) is coupled to an inlet of the cell and an inlet (25) of the latter conversion system. A power feedback circuit (30) transfers electrical energy generated at an outlet of the former conversion system to the inlet of the latter conversion system.
