<p>Provided are a network connection method and a communication terminal, wherein the method includes: an application module of an application unit sends a network connection request to a virtual network module according to pre-configured network connection port information; and the virtual network module establishes a connection with a USB network device module used for network connection and sends the network connection request to the USB network device module, and a network connection with a communication unit is established by the USB network device module. The application unit of the communication terminal provided by the present invention sends the network connection request to the virtual network module according to the pre-configured network connection port information, so that the application unit transmits and receives network data through the virtual network module; and when the communication terminal enters a sleep state, the virtual network module can provide the network connection port to the application unit of the communication terminal continuously, so that applications which were previously on-line can still be kept in the on-line state.</p> |
