PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device is provided to increase the flat degree of a white pixel, thereby obtaining a uniform cell gap. CONSTITUTION: A first electrode comprises a first domain dividing unit. The first domain dividing unit is overlapped with a step compensation pattern. A second insulating substrate(210) faces a first insulating substrate. A second electrode faces the first electrode. The second electrode and the first domain dividing unit are alternatively arranged. A liquid crystal layer is located between the first electrode and the second electrode.
