摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for using a nonaqueous electrolyte iodine battery, by which cycle characteristics can be improved furthermore in a nonaqueous electrolyte iodine battery using an electrolyte including lithium ions and iodine. <P>SOLUTION: In a nonaqueous electrolyte iodine battery 10, a negative electrode 14 comprising a lithium metal foil and a positive electrode 16 are arranged to face with each other via an ion-conducting medium 18. The positive electrode 16 is prepared by mixing a conductive material 16b and a binder 16c to be press-formed on a collector 16a such as a platinum mesh. The ion-conducting medium 18 is a nonaqueous electrolyte including iodine in addition to a lithium salt such as lithium hexafluorophosphate. Charge/discharge is performed using the nonaqueous electrolyte iodine battery 10 in a range of an electrochemical two-electron reaction between iodine and lithium ions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
