<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knock control device of an internal combustion engine having no adverse influence on output, fuel efficiency and operability, by avoiding knock erroneous detection when seating noise enters into or retreats from a window in transitional operation. <P>SOLUTION: The existence of seating noise influence is determined by the generating timing of the seating noise of a movable valve system. Only when a determination result changes to the existence of influence from the nonexistence of influence, BGL adopted in a noise entering time mode is set as a value of multiplying a magnification value optionally presettable to the BGL before the determination result changes, and BGL filtering processing is released. Only when the determination result changes to the nonexistence of influence from the existence of influence, the BGL adopted in a noise retreating time mode is set as a value of multiplying an inverse number of the magnification value optionally presettable to the BGL before the determination result changes, and the BGL filtering processing is released.
