<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film which can develop excellent electromagnetic conversion characteristics and dropout characteristics, even when using the polyester film for the coated magnetic recording tape. <P>SOLUTION: This laminated polyester film is a base film to be used for the coated magnetic recording tape. Further, the surface of the side, where a magnetic layer is formed, of the laminated polyester film shows a surface roughness (RaA) of less than 4 nm. Meanwhile, the surface of the side, where no magnetic layer is formed, of the laminated polyester film shows a surface roughness (RaB) of 4 to 10 nm, and not more than 20 pieces/0.06 mm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>of projection with a height of not less than 60 nm and an area of not less than 150 nm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
