<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state image pickup element capable of realizing a circuit (storage section) with a small area for holding an electrical signal from a pixel, and further to provide a driving method of the solid-state image pickup element. <P>SOLUTION: A solid-state image pickup element 100 comprises: a plurality of pixels 1a; a column signal line 21; and a first storage section 2a that is disposed on each column signal line 21 and stores an electrical signal transmitted from the plurality of pixels 1a of a corresponding column. The first storage section 2a comprises: a first transistor 31, of which a gate is connected to a row selection line 40, one of a source and a drain is connected to an input signal line 21 and the other one of the source and the drain is connected to a storage node; and a second transistor 32, of which a gate is connected to the storage node, one of a source and a drain is connected to a row power source line 41 and the other one of the source and the drain is connected to an output signal line 34. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
