Disclosed are a system for operating an event using a multi-functional character souvenir and a method for operating the event using the same. The system includes a character souvenir including a Radio Frequency IDentification (RFID) tag device, an information storage chip, a cash charging chip, and an acoustic output device; a composite reader reading and processing data information and cash charging information stored in the character souvenir, and including an information receiver, an information transmitter, and a settlement processor; and an event operator server receiving, storing, and managing the data information read and processed by the composite reader. The method includes an event participation requesting step, a price charge requesting step, an information inputting step, a cash charging step, an event affiliated corporation establishing step, a visitor participation information collecting step, a festival result information processing step, and a post marketing step. |
