The tool (100) has a contact surface (110) at which a fiber structure (300) is attached. Two switchable electromagnets (121, 122) create an artificial magnetic field with which magnetic creation of the fiber structure to the contact surface is enabled. The artificial magnetic field is generated in a region of a concave portion (115) of the contact surface. The switchable electromagnets are separately connected to direct current (DC) sources and arranged in the concave portion. The fiber structure is provided on a support surface of the contact surface. An independent claim is also included for a method for processing or handling a fiber structure for manufacture of a fiber reinforced plastic composite.
