<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly safe guidewire by increasing the bonding strength between a core shaft and a coiled body of the guidewire. <P>SOLUTION: The guidewire 1 includes the core shaft 2, and the coiled body 3 wound around the outer circumferential surface of the core shaft 2. A bulged portion 5 is provided at the tip portion of the core shaft 2. The front end of the coiled body 3 is bonded to the front end of the core shaft 2 with a bonding portion 6.
