<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video processing apparatus and a video processing method that enable many contents acquirable via a network to be displayed in a list in an easily understandable form on which a user's experience such as viewing, recording or reserving is reflected, and thereby enable the user's work of retrieving a content to be facilitated. <P>SOLUTION: According to one embodiment, a video processing apparatus comprises content list display means, content registration means, and control means. The content list display means displays a list of plural contents acquirable via a network. The content registration means registers contents which are acquired via any of broadcasting, a recording medium, and the network and on which any processing operation among reproduction, recording and reservation is performed.
