<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent thermal deformation and at the same time reduce internal contamination caused by generated gas in a housing for digital disk driving devices. <P>SOLUTION: A housing 2 for digital disk driving devices is integrally formed of a base 3 and a peripheral wall part 4 provided at the outer periphery of the base 3, and constituted of a thermoplastic resin primarily comprising liquid crystal polyester. A resin material of the housing 2 for digital disk driving devices is a thermoplastic resin that has high heat resistance, generating little gas, and primarily comprises liquid crystal polyester.
