<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a magnetic recording medium which can increase usable frequency of repetitive transfer of a master information carrier. <P>SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a magnetic recording medium includes a step for forming a medium W to be magnetically transferred by forming a magnetic layer on a substrate, a deposit removal step, and a magnetic transfer step for writing an information signal in the magnetic layer by superimposing the medium W to be magnetically transferred on a master information carrier and applying an external magnetic field from the master information carrier side. The deposit removal step includes a bonding step in which a deposit capturing plate H having a surface which is softer than a surface A to be magnetically transferred of the medium W to be magnetically transferred and does not have an adherence property is bonded to the surface A to be magnetically transferred and deposits attached to the surface A to be magnetically transferred are captured by plastic deformation of the deposit capturing plate H, and a peeling step in which the deposits are removed together with the deposit capturing plate H by peeling the deposit capturing plate H from the surface A to be magnetically transferred. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
