<p>A closure control assembly for a self-closing gate, the gate being rotatable about a post through a range of opening angles between a fully-open position and a closed position. The device includes: a piston assembly including a piston cylinder and a piston which is movable within the piston cylinder, the piston assembly being mountable to the post for pivoting movement about the axis of the post; and a linkage member having a piston end and a gate end separated by a web. The linkage member has a first pivotal connection to the piston assembly at the piston end and a second pivotal connection to the gate at the gate end. Each pivotal connection has an axis of rotation which is parallel to the axis of rotation of the gate.</p> |
