<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cancel printing without wasting a sheet if an instruction is given to cancel the printing in the middle of the printing of an image on both sides of continuous sheets. <P>SOLUTION: When the instruction is given to cancel the printing in the middle of the printing on a first surface in both-side printing, the printing on the first surface is canceled to change the printing on a second surface.
