<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel for detecting a touch position with high accuracy at low cost. <P>SOLUTION: A touch panel includes an upper conductive film, a lower conductive film, a capacitance type detection unit connected to the upper conductive film, a first resistance film type detection unit connected to the upper conductive film, and a second resistance film type detection unit connected to the lower conductive film. A coordinate position is detected by capacitive coupling with predetermined potential applied to the upper conductive film. A coordinate position is detected by detecting potential at a position where the upper conductive film and the lower conductive film touch each other using one of the upper conductive film and the lower conductive film, with a potential gradient generated in a predetermined direction in the other of the upper conductive film and the lower conductive film. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
