摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling mill compatible in both the stability of the upper and lower work roll chocks and a gap between the upper and lower work rolls, having high responsiveness and having also a wide range of a plate crown and shape control against a disturbance during rolling. <P>SOLUTION: The rolling mill is constituted as follows. Hydraulic cylinders to apply increase-roll bending forces on the upper and lower work rolls are arranged in project blocks projected inward of the rolling mill housing, a rolling-directional force applied on the body of the lower work roll is supported by contact faces between the project blocks and the lower work roll chock, a rolling-directional force applied on the body of the upper work roll is supported by contact faces between the rolling mill housing window positioned above the project blocks and the upper work roll chock, the upper and the lower work roll have initial crowns of the same concavo-convex forms so as to be point-symmetric with each other, and a roll shift means for relatively shifting the upper and the lower work roll chock is provided in axially opposite directions with respect to each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
