<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for the oral cavity, which quickly feeds moisture into the dried oral cavity to alleviate the dried conditions in the oral cavity, quickly infiltrates the moisture into phlegm and dirt stuck while being dried in the oral cavity, facilitates their cleaning, further, prevents inflammatory disease in the oral cavity, particularly, periodontal disease, and further can inhibit/alleviate the conditions. <P>SOLUTION: The composition for the oral cavity includes glyceryl glucoside. The composition for the oral cavity is a composition for treating or preventing xerosis in the oral cavity. The composition for the oral cavity is an inflammation inhibitor in the oral cavity. The composition for the oral cavity is a treatment agent or a preventive agent for periodontal disease and the related disorder thereof.
