<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately complete the work of saving a document already registered in a document management server and the work of registering a document generated by reading an original by operations on a device. <P>SOLUTION: Information related to a user is transmitted from a device 104 to a document management server 103, authentication processing is performed, a scan document 503 generated by scanning a paper document 502 is transmitted from the device 104 to the document management server 103 and registration is requested. In the case that a size of the scan document 503 requested to be registered from the device 104 exceeds a free capacity of a contract area 504, the document management server 103 extracts a document 506 that matches a saving condition from the documents 506 to be stored in the contract area 504, moves the extracted document 506 from the contract area 504 to a temporary area 507, registers the scan document 503 requested to be registered from the device 104 in the contract area 504, and reports the information of the document moved to the temporary area 507 to a prescribed notification destination. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
