<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information display system, an input device of which is thin, requires no special pen for input and is capable of easily determining a display position in a display. <P>SOLUTION: An information display system includes: a personal computer P which outputs information; a display D which receives and displays the information; and an input device A which is provided with a rectangular frame-like shaped optical waveguide W, outputs information inputted in the frame of the optical waveguide W to the personal computer P and displays it in the display D. The optical waveguide W has a plurality of light-emitting cores formed in a part of one side of opposing sides of the frame-like shape and a plurality of light-receiving cores formed in a part of the other side.
