<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overvoltage detection device, a protection device and a battery pack, capable of preventing, when a charging current of a secondary battery increases, a protection circuit for detecting an overvoltage, higher than an overvoltage detected by software control, from detecting first an overvoltage state of a secondary battery. <P>SOLUTION: The overvoltage state of a secondary battery 1 is detected when the number of continuous determination times that a battery voltage, detected at intervals of 250 msec and including a voltage drop produced in resistors (resistors Ra1, Ra2, Rb1, Rb2, Rc1, Rc2) in a charge path of the secondary battery 1, is higher than a prescribed voltage (4.3 V) for detecting the overvoltage state of the secondary battery 1 by a protection circuit 5 is greater than and including a second number of times (two times) smaller than the number of battery voltage detection times during 1.5 sec preceding the overvoltage detection by the protection circuit 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
