The method involves alternatingly bending a curved and/or folded continuous sheet (1) for producing two walls of flow channels. Edges (12, 22) of the walls of the flow channels are alternatingly connected with each other by material engagement. The edges are compressed with each other before connection. Curved parts and/or bending folds (11, 21) and the connected edges are inclined against each other around angles (alpha 1, alpha 2). A channel height of one of the channels between the walls is larger than another channel height of the other channel between the walls. An independent claim is also included for a plate heat exchanger.
