<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a message to drivers around an own vehicle with good visibility without disturbing driver's visibility around the own vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: An EL display panel 11 has a light transmission surface and repeatedly emits pixels at a corresponding position on the light transmission surface according to display information to display the display information. An optical shutter 12 is arranged with a light transmission area at a position overlapping the light transmission surface of the EL display panel 11, and at least a part of the light transmission area can be switched to a light shielding area.
