DC LIGHTING ILLUMINATION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC lighting illumination device which avoids the problem in which an increase in contact resistance at a connection portion between an illumination lamp and a lighting circuit leads to an abnormal temperature rise and arc discharge.

SOLUTION: The DC lighting illumination device includes: an illumination lamp LS; a DC lighting circuit DOC which is provided with an output terminal TS connected to the illumination lamp and lights the illumination lamp by DC; and control means CC which controls the DC lighting circuit so that power consumed by a contact resistance Rc at a connection portion RC between the illumination lamp and the output terminal of the DC lighting circuit during full lighting of the illumination lamp does not exceed a predetermined value set to 8 W or lower.
