PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and appropriately output a color-adjusted image desired by a user.

SOLUTION: A color image forming apparatus 1 stores beforehand, in a hard disc 14, learning data obtained by causing evaluation values using plural perceptual languages to correspond to plural combinations of color correction parameters and a color output image output after color adjustment with the combinations of color correction parameters. When color adjustment requested in outputting a color image is designated by an operation unit 13 with one perceptual language, a controller controlling unit 11 extracts, from the learning data, a combination of color correction parameters which has a high adaptation for the perceptual language, generates a new combination of color correction parameters by applying a genetic algorithm to the extracted combination of color correction parameters, and registers the new combination of color correction parameters in the learning data. The controller controlling unit 11 also causes a plotter 22 to output a color image onto paper after performing color adjustment on color image data by using the combination of color correction parameters.
