<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve excellent response and stable fuel injection characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel injection device 10 includes a cylinder 80 that defines a pressure chamber 34 at an end portion of a nozzle needle 90. A floating plate 100 as a control member is placed in the cylinder 80. A cutout portion 105 and multiple grooves 106 are formed in the floating plate 100. The cutout portion 105 and the grooves 106 cause a gap between a large-diameter inner circumferential surface 81 and an outer circumferential surface 102 to communicate with the pressure chamber 34. The cutout portion 105 and the grooves 106 reduce a contact surface between the cylinder 80 and the floating plate 100 and divide the contact surface into multiple island portions. As a result, it is possible to reduce the contact surface, and excellent response and stable fuel injection characteristics are obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
