<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machining waste liquid treating apparatus which facilitates exchange of a filter that has reached the end of the service life due to deposit of cutting chips and grinding dust. <P>SOLUTION: The machining waste liquid treating apparatus includes: a waste liquid tank 2 for storing machining waste liquid; a machining waste liquid feeding means 8 for feeding machining waste liquid; a cassette filter 4 for filtering waste liquid; filter racks 5, 6 that support the cassette filter 4 and that have a fresh water outlet ; and a fresh water tank 7 for storing fresh water. The filter racks 5, 6 comprise: a bottom wall having the fresh water outlet; a sidewall 56 that is erected from the outer circumference of the bottom wall and that forms a fresh water pan together with the bottom wall; and a plurality of supporting members 57 that are arranged on the upper face of the bottom wall and provided with supporting faces for placing the cassette filter racks 5, 6. The plurality of supporting members 57 are installed at intervals allowing the fork of a forklift to enter.
