<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front body of a vehicle absorbing shocks (loads) input to the front face of the vehicle, and shortening a length (a crushable zone) in the front and rear direction of the front body of the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The front body of the vehicle 12 has a side beam 74 extending to a front frame section 37 of the front body of the vehicle 12 from a sub frame 15 by attaching a sub frame 15 to right and left front side frames 16. The side beam 74 is constituted of: a lower buffer beam member 78 joining to the front wall 75 of the sub frame 15 and forming a curved part 76 lowered downward at a center part and connected to the curved part 76 to form a horizontal linear part 77; and a shock absorbing member 81 joining to the horizontal linear part 77 and the front frame section 37 and compressed and deformed by the input from the front face 79 of the vehicle 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
