<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a comparator that has a stable hysteresis characteristic. <P>SOLUTION: A comparator 1 includes: a differential circuit section 10 having a pair of differential input transistors T1, T2; a selector circuit section 20 for adding a hysteresis to the differential circuit section 10; and a level converting amplification section 30. The selector circuit section 20 has transistors T3, T4 connected to drains of the differential input transistors T1, T2, respectively, and is connected so as to absorb a constant bias current Ib from the connected transistor T1, T2 when one of the transistors T3, T4 is turned on. Two amplification circuits 31, 32 of the level converting amplification section 30 are connected in parallel with respect to the transistors T3, T4 of the selector circuit section 20, and turn on one of the transistors T3, T4 and turn off the other simultaneously in response to an output of the differential circuit section 10 to switch the bias current Ib. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
