Provided in an embodiment of the present invention are a method, apparatus and system for supporting a non-vectored line; the method comprises: selecting n-number of non-vectored lines TL from the lines in the initialization phase, wherein n is an integer larger than or equal to 1; controlling lines in the initialization phase other than the TL to discontinue initialization until the TL has completely entered the data transmission phase; before the TL enters the data transmission phase, estimating a far-end crosstalk coefficient CTL-SV from the TL to a vectored line SV in the data transmission phase, the CTL-SV is used for processing signals to eliminate the far-end crosstalk of the TL to the SV. A Vectored-DSL system can support an existing VDSL Legacy CPE in the existing network without updating the VDSL2 Legacy CPE in the existing VDSL2 network, offsetting the crosstalk from the Legacy line to the Vector line in the downstream direction, maximizing the crosstalk offset from the Legacy line to the Vector line in the upstream direction, thereby greatly mitigating the potential stability issues caused by the Legacy line to the Vector line in the entire Vectored DSL system. |
