PURPOSE: A thin film transistor array substrate and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent coupling of a common voltage signal. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of thin film transistors(77) are connected to each gate line and each data line. A plurality of pixel electrodes(59) are connected to each thin film transistor. The pixel electrodes comprise a second conductive film. A protective film is formed on the data line and the thin film transistor. A plurality of common electrodes(85,87) are formed on the protective film of each pixel area.
