<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optic device with a simplified multilayer structure, capable of high-quality display. <P>SOLUTION: An electro-optic device includes: a data line (6) and a plurality of scan lines (11) intersecting with each other on a substrate (10); a transistor (30) including a semiconductor layer (30a) including a first source-drain region electrically connected to the data line and a second-source drain region, and a gate electrode electrically connected to one of the plurality of scan lines; and a storage capacitor (70) including a first capacitor electrode (71) provided between the semiconductor layer and the substrate and electrically connected to the second source-drain region, and a second capacitor electrode (73) provided facing the first capacitor electrode and electrically connected to the scan line adjacent to the one scan line.
