<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device configured to support a driving rotary body by a first bearing mechanism and a second bearing mechanism, and having flexibility in selecting the structure of the driving rotary body, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The electric power steering device is provided with an electric motor 21 assisting reciprocation of a steering shaft, a driving pulley 41 attached to an output shaft 21A of the electric motor 21 and a housing 30 to which the electric motor 21 is mounted.
