<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust cover for a ball joint, capable of maintaining a good sealing property while preventing decrease in the sealing property in a small-diameter opening and also preventing distortion of a membrane and wear damages by rubbing, even for wide angle specifications of the ball joint. <P>SOLUTION: The dust cover made of a rubbery elastic material for a ball joint has such a structure that, in a state before the dust cover is mounted on a ball joint, a membrane-like part connecting a large-diameter opening to a small-diameter opening includes: a cylindrical part that is substantially cylindrical and extending from the large-diameter opening toward the small-diameter opening; and a substantially horn-shaped curved part which is connected to the small-diameter opening via a bent part from one end side of the cylindrical part, is thinner than the cylindrical part and is concave inside; wherein the cover is compressed and assembled to use the membrane in a folded state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
