<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that suppresses outflow of heat to the outside of the device to improve heat insulation property, resolves the difference in temperature that occurs between a paper feed area and a non-paper feed area after continuous fixing processing to a recording medium having smaller width, and is easily manufactured at a low cost, as well as an image forming apparatus including the fixing device, and a manufacturing method of the fixing device. <P>SOLUTION: A fixing device 5 includes: a heat insulation cover 57 that is disposed separated from a part of an outer peripheral surface of a fixing roller 18 at a predetermined interval; an upper frame body 56 that is disposed outside of the heat insulation cover 57 to form the outer frame of the device, and forms a gap part S between the insulation cover 57 and the frame body 56; and a plurality of cylindrical hollow members 61 that are filled into the gap part S so that the outer peripheral surfaces of the hollow members are in contact with one another in the radial direction of the roller. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
