Disclosed are a local area advertisement system and a method for calculating a local area advertisement cost. The disclosed method for calculating an advertisement cost comprises: a step (a) of receiving advertisement information including information on a set advertisement area; a step (b) of receiving information on the order of the advertisement; a step (c) of calculating an area in which the advertisement area of a competitive advertisement which has a lower priority than the priority of the advertisement received in step (b) and the set advertisement area overlap; and a step (d) of calculating an advertisement cost based on the area of the set advertisement area and based on the area in which the advertisement area of the competitive advertisement and the set advertisement area overlap. The disclosed method of the present invention is advantageous in that it is possible to calculate a reasonable advertisement cost in a local area advertisement system that enables an advertiser to freely set an advertisement area, and it is also possible to adjust an advertisement cost in accordance with the priority of the advertisement.
