<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED lamp having a new cooling and heat radiation means. <P>SOLUTION: The LED lamp (10) is provided with a plurality of LED elements (18) and a glass-made sealing container (6) for surrounding the LED elements. The glass-made sealing container has low molecular weight gas sealed. The low molecular weight gas is any of helium gas, hydrogen gas, neon gas, or mixed gases of these.
