<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of controlling power of a ship capable of reducing possibility that power demand exceeds power generated by an electric generator even when power is supplied to a thruster device, and a ship power control system. <P>SOLUTION: This method of controlling power of a ship includes: electric generators 11, 12, 13; a plurality of load apparatuses including an air conditioner 38X and consuming power; and a thruster device 31 for providing lateral thrust force for a ship; and prevents operation of the air conditioner when the ship leaves or reaches a shore. In this ship power control system 1, a control device 80 estimates operation of the thruster device, performs calculation for estimating total power consumption of the plurality of load apparatuses including power consumption of the thruster device during the operation of the thruster device by using power consumption information of power consumption measurement means 44-49 before the operation of the thruster device as an initial criterion, controls the air conditioner so that the total power consumption of the load apparatuses during the operation of the thruster device falls inside the total power generation amount of the plurality of electric generators to restrain the total power consumption of the load apparatuses. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
