<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel agent for asbestos containment excellent in permeability to the sprayed asbestos, a method for treating sprayed asbestos using the agent for asbestos containment, and treated sprayed asbestos. <P>SOLUTION: The agent for asbestos containment to be used herein comprises as a major component an aqueous solution consisting of 3 components, A<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O-SiO<SB POS="POST">2-</SB>H<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O, wherein the molar ratio of the SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>component to the A<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O component ranges from 2 to 4, and, the proportion of the H<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O component is 5 to 15 times that of the total weight of the A<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O component and the SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>component, and furthermore, the surface tension is adjusted to be 35 mN/m or less at 25°C by adding a conditioner. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
