摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate possibility that each part of an endoscope image is a lesion part, based on information except color of the endoscope image. <P>SOLUTION: In step S100, a ratio G/R of a pixel value G to a pixel value R is obtained from an RGB signal of each pixel, and the possibility that a target pixel is the lesion part is evaluated from color information related to the absorption band of blood. In parallel therewith, in step S102, a luminance signal of a prescribed space frequency area is extracted from a luminance signal of the image. In step S104, information related to a surface structure of an intestinal tract or the like such as a gyrate pattern is decided based on the extracted luminance signal, and the possibility that the target pixel is the lesion part is evaluated.
