摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a conventional seawater battery using seawater as an electrolyte that since ions generated from a negative electrode material are diffused into the electrolyte in the discharge process, repetitive charge/discharge is impossible, and to provide a battery capable of repetitive charge/discharge. <P>SOLUTION: A battery has an electrolyte containing a polymer exhibiting an anion exchange function for transporting hydroxide ions but impeding movement of cations. A mechanical device uses that battery as an energy source.
