<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eccentric type multistage reduction gear capable of reducing the shake of an output shaft, while keeping its axial size small. <P>SOLUTION: The eccentric type multistage reduction gear includes an input shaft 1, a fixed type gear 3 being fixed to the input shaft at its center, a first eccentric gear 6a, a second eccentric gear 6b to operate integrally with the first eccentric gear, the output shaft 7, and an energizing means 10. The first eccentric gear 6a is provided at an eccentric position relative to the input shaft 1 for engaging with the fixed type gear 3 while being put in revolving motion with the rotation of the input shaft, to perform compound motion consisting of rotating motion and revolving motion. The output shaft 7 has a gear part 7a for engaging with the second eccentric gear 6b and an abutting part at the center for abutting on the end of the input shaft, and is rotatable at the center of the input shaft. A curved projecting portion 1a is formed on one of the abutting part of the output shaft and the end of the input shaft, and a curved recessed portion 7b is formed in the other.
