<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe joint capable of inserting a spigot part into a socket part, while maintaining the rust prevention of a pipe end surface of the spigot part by a rust preventive member, when inserting the spigot part into the socket part. <P>SOLUTION: The inside of the socket part 2a is provided with an elastic pressing body 8 elastically deformed by abutting on a holding part 5b and an inner surface 2h of the socket part 2a by inserting the spigot part 3a into the socket part 2a and pressing the holding part 5b toward the pipe end surface 3b along the peripheral direction of the rust preventive member 5 by restoring force.
